Obituary for Pamela Jean Fiscus

Pam Fiscus, 67, of Sterling went to be with the Lord Sunday October 28, 2018; after a 7 year bravely and hard fought battle with Scleroderma. Rosary service is Friday, Nov. 9th at 9:00 a.m at Tennant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial to follow at 10:00 a.m at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Sterling. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Pam was born in Sterling, CO. to Virgil and Edna (Schadegg) Fiscus. She was a graduate of St. Anthony's High school. Pam married Larry Kuntz April, 8 1972, from this union they had two children, they later divorced. Pam was employed by the Logan County Sheriff's Office for 31 years and also worked at Shad's then the Atwood Steak house for nearly a lifetime. Pam was an active member of St. Anthony's Church, where she established lifelong friendships.

She was an avid sports fan for all Colorado teams, her favorite past time was watching the Rockies. Her biggest enjoyment was attending her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews sporting events, as you could always count on seeing her sitting in the stands cheering them on to victory. Her children were her life. She worked very hard to provide for them while being a single mother. Along with working at the Sheriff’s Office and Atwood Steak House, she never shied away from doing other jobs. Needless to say she was a workaholic but more importantly a devoted mother.

Even though Pam was born a city girl, she truly became a country girl. She enjoyed the country life, everything from mowing to painting in the quiet peacefulness of the country. She enjoyed music/dancing, long walks, times of solitude, reading, her Sisters weekends, camping, playing volleyball, gambling trips to Blackhawk, rides in the countryside, visiting old towns and exploring the churches and historical sites. She loved spending time at family gatherings where she looked forward to the games, laughter and all that went with it.

We will miss her sense of humor, practical jokes, the laughter, the smile that lite up a room, the funniest birthday cards with lottery tickets inside that we all looked forward too, her words of wisdom, her radiating love for the people around her, her strong faith, her conversations with grandkids and watching her reactions during those times. We will all smile and remember the "look" she gave you when she wasn't happy with you.

She is survived by sons Chad Kuntz of Greeley, Shane (Kelly) Kuntz, grandsons Trey and Bobby Kuntz all of Sterling. Brothers Ken (Joann) Fiscus of Sterling, Mike (Becky) Fiscus of Loveland. Sisters Janet (George) Kloberdanz of Sterling and Cheri (Ron Sorensen) Crawford of Loveland. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Edna Fiscus and her grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Pam Fiscus Memorial Fund care of Tennant Funeral Home, PO Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
