Pauline Parga, 85, of Sterling, died March 3, 2010, in Sterling. Closed casket Vigil and Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at Tennant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 8, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert L. Wedow celebrating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

She was born Aug. 13, 1924, in Worland, Wyo., to Anastacio and Juana (Gusman) Barrioz. She married Claudio Parga on April 30, 1942. She was a homemaker for her family her whole life. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, gardening and caring for animals.

Mrs. Parga is survived by sons, Fred of Denver, Arthur and Anthony of Sterling; daughters, Teresa Rangel and husband Longino of Sterling, Andrea Trujillo, Josephine Parga, Connie Rivera, Liz Heisser and husband Verl of Westminster, Jennie Parga of Highlands Ranch; grandchildren, Melissa Dassaro and husband Joseph, Richard Torres, Clarissa Kennedy and husband Doug, Leonard Trujillo and wife Ailala, Candida Guererro, Brian Guererro, Karena Horner and husband Beau, Rosendo Rivera Jr., Fred Parga Jr., Heather Espinoza, Katrina Heisser, Nick Espinosa, Katy Jo Brown; great-grandchildren, Alex and Tabitha Rangel, Kaylee, CJ and Cory Kennedy, Lavi and Ronen Trujillo, Derrick and Devin DeVito, Sabastion Rivera, Brittany Parga, Sasha Parga, Burkie and Unique Espinoza; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claudio; eight brothers and sisters; and granddaughter, Veronica Rangel. Memorials may be made to the Pauline Parga Memorial Fund, in care of Tennant Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
